LG Oled CX ARC stopped working

Overnight, my Sonos ARC stopped working properly with my LG Oled CX. I tried changing the HDMI cable, reset the TV and unplugged all other devices.

When the audio output is set to CEC with eARC enabled on the tv, audio output works. When eARC is disabled, audio output does not work.

CEC volume control does not work anymore, and the Sonos app says ‘ARC Mode not connected’ when doing a tv setup. Already tried setting up universal control again to no avail.

This issue seemingly happened overnight, probably due to a software update?

Hi @Sabatinomasala

Welcome to the Sonos Community!

Please unplug your TV from power for at least a couple of minutes. This will force the software to restart in a way that does not happen with standby, and the time spent unplugged makes sure the internal capacitors have used up all their power and the circuits are completely unpowered.

If you encounter the same issues afterwards, please repeat and try again but disconnect other HDMI devices from the TV until the Arc is setup again.

I also recommend reseating your HDMI cable at both ends.

I hope this helps.

This did not work, even when the Sonos ARC was the only device connected to the TV.
