HELP SETTING UP SONOS BEAM WITH ANDROID PHONE

I just bought a Beam today and was amazed at the lack of instruction with the equipment, other than download the app and select ‘set up new system’.

I downloaded the app to my android Samsung version 6.0.1.

On opening the app, the only option is to ‘add to existing system’ - but I don’t have any other Sonos items.

How do I find the ‘set up a new system’ tab?

For setting up a new Sonos system Android 7.0 is required. https://support.sonos.com/s/article/4875?language=en_US
You could borrow a newer phone just for set up.

Thanks for quick reply and so I borrowed my wife’s phone (android version 9.0).

It also appears after installing Sonos 1 app, that Sonos 2 is the one for the Beam, so after downloading that and working through the procedure, it now recognises the Beam and it’s working.

So, thanks once again
