HDMI ARC to Optical Adaptor

Would using the Sonos HDMI ARC to optical Adapter plugged into Sonos Ray work using a PS5 / through a monitor connected to the PS5 without audio delay? I know that using speakers there's a 75ms delay, and using a Beam using HDMI would be fine, but the Ray is slightly cheaper and smaller form, so it would work better for my purposes.

No, the adapter converts optical to HDMI-ARC, not the other way around.

As PS5 hasn‘t got optical out you can use a cheap hdmi audioextractor with optical out to connect Ray to. Just put the audioextractor between PS5 and monitor.
There will be no delay.
