getting sound from Epson LS12000 with sonos beam

Just setup a LS12000 to replace my tv and I cant seem to get sound from sonos beam connected to this projector’s EARC hdmi port. I doubt its the cable because Im using a certified hdmi 2.1 fiberoptic cable to connect the beam to the projector. I thought EARC port would allow this to be pretty much plug and play? Do I need an hdmi splitter or something like HDFURY Arcana to make it work?

Make sure the HDMI Link setting is enabled on the projector. Then run TV Setup under the Beam’s settings in the Sonos app.

Some fiber cables are directional, most do not support HDMI-eARC.

Just to test, try using the HDMI cable that came with the Beam and see if you can complete the TV Setup process.
