Hi, Hope you are all well,

 

I have a Beam Gen 1, Sub Gen3 and 2 Play 1 Setup for my home theatre. 

I have a LG TV that does not support DTS as well.

My Question is if I play a 4k Disk that is Dolby Atmos will the Beam automatically downgrade to Dolby Digital, I believe it does but just want to confirm I did test with the Dune 4k release and surround, sub base and everyone seem to be outputting as 5.1 (confirmed in the app and with my ears).

As long as your TV supports Dolby Digital pass through, you should still be able to get the core Dolby Digital audio from a Blu-ray disc with a Dolby TrueHD/Dolby Atmos track. But unfortunately all DTS-encoded discs will play as Stereo PCM.
