Connecting amp (and third-party speakers) to sonos 5

Question

Can anyone help me set up sound in my library.

Goal set up is sonos 5 as center and then amp to power third party speakers as left and right. The sonos 5 and amp were purchased at the same time in 2019.

Especially on the new app, I am having trouble arranging these things. Somehow they keep ending up as separate rooms.

Should I return both to factory reset and start from scratch. I previously had these products in different rooms but never tried to link the amp (and third party speakers) with any other sonos product.

You’ve done the first step - they need to be set up as two rooms. Then group them and they’ll all play the same music stream.

However, if you’re trying to create the 3 front channels in a home theatre setup, with the Five as the centre channel, you’ll not manage to achieve that.
