I have a Beam gen 2 and 2 One speakers. I used to configure them as a surround system, Beam connected to my TV via HDMI ARC.

Then I found the two Ones are mostly idle as I don't play enough surround-sound content. So I recently removed the surround setup, and grouped the speakers, hoping to listen to the same sounds from different speakers, immersive in a different way. I found a way in the Sonos app to configure the TV output to all speakers there, which is great.

The problem is when I change the volume on my AppleTV remote control, only the volume of the Beam got changed, Ones' volume stay the same unless I use the touch buttons on the speakers or use the app. Is there any way to sync the volume control across all speakers?

Hi @nchh13, welcome to the Sonos Community!

Remote controls that are bonded to a soundbar only control the products that are part of the Home Theatre setup, not any grouped speakers. If you want your AppleTV remote to control the Ones, then you’ll need to set them up as surrounds again.

You already know that you can use the Sonos app or the buttons to change the volume, but you can also use Sonos Voice Control (SVC) or another voice assistant on your speakers to set the volume, such as asking the voice assistant to set the speakers volume to 30. I’ve had a look and all voice assistants available on Sonos support the ‘set the volume to x’ command.

I hope this information helps!
