I set up both of my sonos 1 SL speakers and only one of them worked. The other makes horrible noises and you can barely make out what song it is. I’m trying to return the it and get it replaced. Anyone know the quickest way to do so?

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try in the meantime.

  • If you have multiple music subscriptions try them, and see if there's any difference.
  • Hardwire the speaker using an ethernet cable then connect it to the router for the meantime then play another song might be wifi interference.
  • If there still no changes with the sound quality factory data reset to verify if it's a hardware issue or software issue.
