I have a Beam (with Ones for surround) connected to the ARC port on my LG OLED C2, My Nintendo Switch is connected to the TV with HDMI. I don’t have AVS. How do I play Nintendo Switch audio thru the Beam and surrounds?
If the Beam is set up correctly, the audio from the Nintendo Switch should already be playing out of the Beam and surround speakers. Although since you only have a Beam (Gen 1) and the Switch uses LPCM audio for surround sound, you will probably just be limited to stereo audio rather than 5.1 audio.
Thanks for the reply… it’s a Beam Gen 2 and the Switch has a surround option in settings… not sure if this changes anything
Set the TV to these settings:
HDMI Input Audio Format: Bitstream
Digital Sound Output: Pass Through
eARC Support: On
On the Switch, set TV Sound to Surround.
Thanks much for the info… I’ll give it a try
tried the new settings and it works great… thanks again for the help

Would a beam 2 or Arc get surround from a switch then?
I’ve just got an LG G3 and a bit sad that I’m only getting stereo from my beam 1. But if all it would take is upgrading to a beam 2 that wouldn’t be soooo bad.

Yes, a Beam (Gen 2) or Arc will allow you to get LPCM 5.1 audio from the Switch.
