Beam Gen 2 only passing through volume commands from remote

I have a Beam Gen 2 connected to a Roku TCL TV. The Beam blocks the IR sensor of the TV. I followed the instructions for “Remote Control Setup”, but the TV only responds to the volume up / down / mute commands from the remote. The TV does not respond to play / pause / menu toggles.

What do I need to do for the Beam to pass through these other commands?

I’m hoping for a solution other than “raise the TV”, which is what I’ll do if nothing else works. Thanks!

Welcome to the Sonos Community!

Beam does not have IR (InfraRed) Passthrough - you’ll need to mount your TV and Beam in such a way that the Beam does not block the TV’s IR sensor to have the TV respond to IR controls again. Beam will only respond to Volume Up, Volume Down and Mute, as they are the only controls that relate to audio.

I hope this helps.
