Beam Gen 2 attachment to LG C1 will not allow other connections-ie optical as use of any alternative results in 2 second switch back to Beam and disconnection with optical.

Yes that works. Going into all settings, audio etc to turn it off to use receiver is a bit much. Should be easier. I do appreciate your answer. Mike
