I have a sonos ARC, the audio is fine if I connect the supplied HDMI from the ARC directly to the TV. If I include an in wall cable management that had a female hdmi installed in the wall the audio keeps dropping out. why is this?

Maybe the HDMI in-wall set-up is the old HDMI 1.4, and so is not high speed?

In the wall I used these.

Should be fine. What length did you need to use? Sometimes longer cables can lead to signal degradation.

in the wall it is roughly 50cm

Ha! No distance at all then!

And you are connecting the HDMI cable to the TV’s HDMI-eARC port?

I sure am, I am now questioning myself on the second external cable (not in the wall) I am using .  Just ordered a new one incase it is that what is the problem

Hi @Chuc-EE, back in the day I experienced the exact same thing: my certified HDMI cable did not work, while the cable supplied with the Arc did work. Happily, I firmly re-seated the certified HDMI cable at both ends and it has worked ever since. If you’ve not already done so, give that a shot with your in wall cable.
