Replaced my 1SL with pair of Era 100 for surrounds was watching Netflix and whole sound cut out, like muted. Video was on a ATV4K still playing had to pause and exit all the way out to main menu restart the show to get sound. Watched some regular cable tv and doesn’t appear to be doing it that way. 

Sure sounds like an issue with the Netflix app on your Apple TV, and not the Sonos.
