Question

Adding Sonos One to Existing Surround Sound

Hi

I have a Beam with two one speakers added to create surround sound. This works fine.

Today I bought a 3rd one speaker and added it as a separate speaker. I grouped it with the current living room surround set up. However, I have run into a few issues.

The new one speaker does play sound but it keeps breaking up/cutting out. In addition, when I press mute on the sky remote it only mutes the existing surround set up. This is how I discovered the new speaker was cutting out as it plays the TV sound by itself.

Any help would be appreciated.

The cutting out is likely caused by wifi interference , I would read through the FAQ and apply what solutions may apply.

Since the extra speaker is not part of the home theater ‘room’, it will never be controlled by the Sky remote. You’ll have to control it’s volume by using the Sonos controller.
