Volume Problem

I am able to sync the Fios remote to control the volume though the Sonos Beam when I am watching Fios cable TV.  When I switch over to an app (Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max) the Fios remote doesn’t work to control the volume.  The Sony/TV a remote doesn’t work for the volume either.  How do I get one remote to control everything?

How is your Beam connected to the TV? Via HDMI, or via optical?

If it is the former, you shouldn’t have any need to program the remote - commands are passed up the HDMI chain and you should be able to use either the source remote or the TV remote.

If it is the latter, then only one remote will work, you will need to program it, and it should work all of the time.

Lastly, if you program the remote and the Beam detects HDMI commands, the Beam will ignore the IR remote and only pay attention to the HDMI commands.
