Volume control and Playbase

Just set up a Playbase with my Samsung Smart T.V. It sounds awesome but when I use the T.V. remote to increase/decrease volume I get an annoying message saying "Your T.V. is set to use external speakers. Adjust the volume on the connected speakers directly." There is a topic on the Sonos FAQ section of the support page but this leads me nowhere. Any ideas out there please?

Hello, jimsutton10:

Just to make sure I understand what is going on: When you change the volume through the T.V. remote, you get a message on the TV screen about changing the audio directly on the speakers. Is this correct?

If so, this is because the TV is still receiving the IR signal from the remote control along with the PLAYBASE. Some Samsung TV's use the Samsung One remote that outputs different types of signals. In this case, you may find this article helpful.
