Using a non-sonos sub with a playbar

I'm looking at getting a playbar but already have a powered sub and a sonos connect and wondered if I could connect the powered sub to the connect and then set that up as the sub as part of the home cinema set up. Is that possible or can you only use the Sonos sub?

Does anyone know if this is likely to happen? Would love to buy the playbar but already own a really good Sub and can't justify the extra money on something I already own and will be made redundant.

Even when the connect amp was added to use for rear surrounds the lfe subwoofer output was not supported. There are obviously limitations to how that works on connect:amp that made the lfe output not discretely assignable. No other Sonos units have lfe out so that would have been only option had it been able to.
