I have two issues.  One, my Sonos drops out like other users.  Secondly, when using the play bar with our TV it doesn't take long for the lip sync on the TV is totally out of sync.  I have called Sonos a couple time and they say its our DISH receiver.  When I unplug the play bar and TV the proper syncing is restored.  Since I never have gotten an answer from Sonos for either problem I'll be returning my entire Sonos system to Costco.  Seems Sonos can't handle some of the basic issues users are having and find it too frustrating to continue.

Well, like the miniscule percentage of users who have issues and therefore come on here to try and resolve them.  Surprisingly, hardly anyone whose system is working perfectly comes on to the forum to say so.

These issues turn out to be local networking problems in 99% of cases - most often wireless interference - and can be resolved in nearly all cases.

The Playbar plays what it receives, when it receives it.  It cannot introduce or remove a lag.  That is quite an unusual form of going out of sync, so that would require some troubleshooting experiments.

Your loss.  Unless you want to change your mind and work with the people on here who are willing to try to help?

I have called at least 3 times regarding dropping of sound on my play bar when playing music on Pandora.  No one seems to really want to help.  And when it comes to lip sync issues we get tired of unplugging the sound bar in order to keep it from going into a lip sync mode.  With it unplugged we are never faced with lip syncing on the TV. Frustrating.

Forgot to mention.  When we use our app to turn off the sound bar while listening to TV output, it comes back on within a few minutes without our knowing and lip sync starts all over again.  This why we have to unplug the TV.  Remote never wants to “obey” our desire not to have sound bar active.  If the sound bar decides to quit playing music within every minute it is on why doesn’t it occur on our Play 1 speakers.  They never miss a beat.

I get the frustration, your problems are real. But of course the TV’s own internal speakers sync with the picture.  It is quite common for TVs to make a mess of synching to an external speaker.

What satellite box do you have and does it have a digital optical out port?

I am afraid I didn’t understand any of that… but we can maybe come back to it...
