status light on OneSL’s when setup as surrounds with Beam.

Setup: beam and 2 OneSL’s as surround products. 

I don’t always want to use the system in surround mode, so toggle the surround setting to off - simple. However, doing so changes the status lights on the OneSL’s to flashing green - which is kinda annoying.
 

The issue though, is that the OneSL status light still flashes even when status lights settings are toggled to off! 
 

Any suggestions to overcome this? Am I missing something?

Do you really “toggle them to off”, or do you remove them from the room? If you do the latter I can understand the flashing green light - the speakers are not set up, so the status light blinks. You probably will lose your Trueplay settings with every change too.

Though I do not understand why you’d want this (but, hey, it’s your system), wouldn’t it be better to change the settings on your TV to stereo?
