Sonos playbase connecting on a pc Mobo Gigabyte X570S Aorus Master vbia OPTICAL output

I know that there is a lot of topic about, but I am not able to make my Sonos Playbase to work with my computer.  I bought an OPTICAL CABLE, it is connected I can see the light at end, plug into the playbase and nothing.

Thank you for the response.

 

I was finally able to connect the playbase by creating another account and setup NEW SYSTEM and trick the playbase with a tv remote.  Now I have full sound on the speaker.

    What type of audio is being sent from the PC to the Playbase? It needs to be an audio format the Playbase supports like stereo PCM or Dolby Digital.
