Can I use a Sonos Playbar on a pc with the optical cable if I convert it to a aux cable, and get all the sound from Netflix or something like that?

Yes, provided your PC has optical out in its mini jack - some do put a native optical output in the 3.5mm jack, with others you'll need to use the optical out jack on the PC. In fact, PCs do much better than the vast majority of TVs in handling the output (assuming you're running a modern version of Windows, Vista or later) in that they will automatically switch on the fly from high quality LPCM 2 channel to Dolby Digital, and stream out only supported bitstreams, depending on the source audio. It may take a smidgeon of configuration to check off boxes for what the Playbar supports in the properties page, but then you're all set, forever.

If your PC lacks a TOSLINK output on your sound card, you can get a USB adapter that will do very nicely for not a lot of money from a variety of sources.
Thank you for the help
