If I turn on the radio on my sonas beam and then turn it off ,it doesn't automatically go back to playing the TV audio.
Any ideas where I'm going wrong

Nothing. You need to choose the stream to replace the TV, there is no ‘automatically’ going back to what was previous, only the AutoPlay of the TV when it starts sending data.
