Hi I've just ordered a beam 1st gen, however I have only buried an optical cable in my wall, I know there is an adapter for HDMI to optical however Is there any kind of adapter which converts Optical to HDMI so I can use the optical cable, I've googled it but can't find an answer, thanks in advance

Isn’t the adapter actually just what you need? The Beam only has an HDMI connection, so the adapter should be optical to HDMI. You might need a connector like this:
106rallye funnily enough I've just ordered them, one for the end nearest the beam then male to male to fit in after the supplied adapter if that makes sense?
