Hi,am new to Sonos community,

I have Sonos arc and sub Gen 3

Just wanted to know

Q1- is that arc and sub itself produce 5.1.or 3.1, because I asked this many online platform and reviewers, different information from every time.

Q2- Dolby Atmos not as expected honestly (Sonos app shows Dolby Atmos),if add two rear speakers SL one,is that make difference in Atmos effect, however SL is not dedicated rear speakers,

Q3- is there any plan for Sonos to make rear speaker with upward firing speakers to support Sonos arc in order to get Atmos more.

Thanks

1. The Arc alone is a 5.0.2 speaker. When you add a Sub, it is a 5.1.2 setup.

2. Adding two rear surround speakers won’t add to the height effect, but they will add to the overall object-based Atmos effect and give you a more immersive and enveloping audio experience.

3. Sonos has not announced any plans for a surround speaker with an upward firing speaker, but some users have requested it.
