Hi there,

I just purchased an Arc and am planning to use it with my 4k projector setup. I’m concerned about positioning. Our 150” projector screen hangs from a rafter and is about 5 feet out from the back wall and comes nearly to the floor (we can’t move the screen any closer to the back wall). So, our only two real mounting options are:

  1. On top of the rafter that the projector screen hangs from (so the Arc would be about 12’ off the ground and 4-5’ below the A-frame roof.
  2. Low on the wall behind the projector screen (so about 5’ behind the screen, and 1-2’ off the floor

Which of these is best / any other ideas?

FYI this will be part of a surround system with a Sub and 2 rear Ones.

Thanks!

Neither option is a good option IMO. How much space do you have between the bottom of the screen and the floor?

Maybe an Amp with two passive speakers would be worth considering instead of the Arc. Neither of the Arc options sounds good to me.

There’s a few feet between the bottom of the projector screen and the floor, but I can’t really put the speaker there since it would just be in the middle of the floor when the screen is up.

@morgz Like I said before, neither option is a good option, but if I had to choose between the two, I would pick option 1.
