I have just installed a Sonos Arc.  No matter what I do, I can’t get Atmos playing (the Atmos flag in the Sonos app never appears, and the sound is definitely 5.1)

My set up:  Sony XBR55 x900H (latest firmware) with eARC.  This TV supports Atmos.

High Speed (w/ethernet) cable going to Sonos Arc.

Arc paired with Gen2 subwoofer and 2 Sonos Ones

Sonos S2 app updated.

Content tried:

Netflix movies (w/Premium Account)

Disney+ movies and shows

Blu Ray discs

As noted, I have played tons of stuff, but nothing triggers the Atmos flag (as shown in Ryan’s Arc tutorial).

Any thoughts/suggestions/things to try will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

UPDATE: Fixed.  It was a combination of settings on the Sony and lack of content in the world.

I googled Atmos settings for my model Sony and came up with a variety of videos that had the correct settings to allow Atmos.

I then had to MAKE SURE that I was viewing Atmos enabled content (fo to Netflix and search on Atmos for a wide variety of titles - or to Amazon Prime Jack Ryan as two examples) and voila!  The Dolby Atmos flag appears in my Sonos app.

All is well.

I have the exact same tv and sonos setup and cannit get Atmos. Called Sony and they walked me thru some settings, called Sonos and the lady told me if I see Dolby Digital plus 5.1 then it is atmos, I told her that it is not showing up on the Now Playing, but she was of no help. Can you please share the settings you have or links to the youtube videos. Will really appreciate.

Happy holidays!

@Rnaru Sorry for the delay, holidays and such.

Check here:  Settings>Display and Sound > Audio Output> Pass Through Mode = Auto

Revisiting the settings on my Sony helped me with the same issue. I'm my case the output was on DD instead of DD+. Thanks!
