Sonos Arc Dolby Atmos vs Dolby Atmos (TrueHD)

In the Sonos Arc Sonos system info screen in the app; what’s the difference between and what is the better sound? 

-Dolby Atmos (Truehd)  

eArc mode Auto 

Dig output audio Pass-through


and

More than likely you are getting the exact same audio. On Blu-ray Discs, you only get Dolby Atmos audio from a Dolby TrueHD soundtrack. I would just leave the setting on passthrough.

Another way of checking the audio is by pressing the Display button on the Sony remote. It should display “Dolby TrueHD” with either setting.

4K Blu-ray played on Sony X700 4K player
