Hi guys,

i just mounted a Sonos Arc below my wall-mounted TV and the top of the Arc is around 2.5 inches below the bottom of my TV. Does it matter how far below it is as I read in couple of forums that it should be at least 5 inches down but Sonos own site doesn’t have any such recommendation.

4”-5” is recommended if you want to get the full     benefit from the two upfiring speakers on top of the Arc. If it’s too close, the bottom of the TV will block some of the audio and minimize the height effect.

Thank you for your response. The TV is actually around 7-8 inches away from the wall due to to the mount while the Arc is pretty much stuck on the wall so there isn’t any blocking by the TV. Is that fine?

If your TV is that far away from the wall, and your Arc is only 2.5” from the bottom of your TV, I would think the bottom of the TV would be blocking the two upfiring speakers even more. Your current setup is probably not ideal. But if everything sounds good to your ears, that’s all that really matters.
