Playbar is installed for the TV with optical cable and TV´s own speakers are set off.

Volume is controlled thru the Sony remote control, set up with Sonos.

Playbar might change volume setting between the TV channels (also whatever streaming, Netflix etc. sources) or after restart.

Volume might be very loud or you can´t hear nothing...To solve such issues, I found only way to push remote control volume down (step by step to zero) and then again higher reaching the requested volume level.

This is really tiresome and I would be really thankful to find a way to solve the issues!

Hi @User69.

Welcome, thank you for reaching out to Sonos Community, We appreciate your time and effort in posting your concern here in our community.

I’d probably start with Trueplay since it will calibrate the room where your speakers are setup.

Next, try changing your EQ settings.

Hi Mark, all...Proposed action do not solve the issue. As I tried to say, TV volume setting change between the sources i.e. after restart volume shown at tv is at “8” but no sound. Next time it could at “8” with loud volume. This happen also when changing the sources between Netflix and tv...I solve this with remote control by pushing volume each time to zero and beyond to get volume totally off and then step by step higher to right volume level. This is bothersome and I would like to know if there is a solution:-(

Hi @User69.

Welcome, thank you for reaching back to Sonos Community.

Since the first attempt was not successful can you please submit a diagnostic report for us to see what's really going on in your soundbar and in your network?

Also the make and model of your TV.

If you need help with any other information, please be sure to let us know.

Hi Mark,

TV is Sony KD65XE9005 (android operating system) and I sent today diagnostics no. 1218768681 for Sonos. Thanks for support.

Hi @User69.

Welcome, thank you for reaching back to Sonos Community and providing the diagnostic report.

Upon checking the loudness option is turn on, try to turn it off and see if theirs any changes:

  1. Open the Sonos app.
  2. From the Settings tab, tap System.
  3. Tap the room your speaker is located in.
  4. Tap EQ, and then drag the sliders to make adjustments.

If still the same, I would like to recommend calling our customer phone support on this so you can be assisted with more thorough and in-depth troubleshooting steps.

Let us know if it works. If you need help with any other information, please be sure to let us know.
