Just had a 4K Blu-ray which only has a 7.1 audio track. When playing the app states stereo output. Are there any plans to support 7.1 audio tracks or drop the extra 2 channels and just output to 5.1v

You cannot run 7.1 audio over s/pdif optical, so this would require newer hardware than today's Playbar/base, with HDMI capability. Best bet today would be to get your player or TV to down-convert to 5.1.

Cheers for the response. Didn’t even consider that limitation! Thanks.

Just an update. I set my hdmi audio out (hdmi to tv) on my Xbox to bitstream Dolby digital and it’s now coming through as 5.1 via the optical cable.
Thanks again.
