I'm unable to hear sound from my TV through the playbar, I've changed the optical cable, the Ethernet cable and tried changing the channel. I can hear music via Spotify and through Internet radio but nothing through the TV.
As you can hear streaming music, it's likely the audio encoding on the TV.



Please check the TV's audio settings and try different options. The Playbar supports PCM and DD 5.1. 
Cheers all, rebooted the TV, all working ok.
The same thing just happened to me. Rebooting the tv worked for me also.
