I just got the Sonos Arc. Is there a way to change bass/treble/etc? I do not see an Equalizer menu in my Sonos app..

this is my first Sonos device, so no other pairings for now

Hi @Playtothebeat.

Welcome, thank you for reaching out to Sonos Community, We appreciate your time and effort in posting your concern here in our community.

Adjusting the bass, treble, balance, or loudness of your Sonos speakers can be done in a few simple steps using the Sonos app.

On iOS or Android

  1. Open the Sonos app.
  2. From the Settings tab, tap System.
  3. Tap the room your speaker is located in.
  4. Tap EQ, and then drag the sliders to make adjustments.

On Mac or PC

  1. Open the Sonos app
  2. On a Mac, click the Sonos drop-down menu at the top left of the screen and select Preferences > EQ.
  3. On a PC, click the Manage drop-down menu at the top of the window and select Settings > EQ.
  4. Select a room from the drop-down menu to adjust the equalization of your Sonos player.

Setting Description
Bass Adjusts the lower frequency sounds, such as bass, or a kick drum.
Treble Adjusts the higher frequency sounds, such as guitar or vocals.
Balance Adjusts the volume level on the left or right audio channel. Balance is only available on Play:3, Play:5, Five, and speakers configured in a stereo pair.
Loudness

Boosts certain frequencies, including bass, during low listening volumes. This is designed to compensate for normal changes in the ear’s sensitivity when listening to audio at low volumes.

Since I added the arc to my family room I cannot adjust the eq or sub settings. The options are there but they do not respond. They work on other Sonos in the house. It’s just the arc and sub setup in my family room.

Hi @jwerley.

Have you done any network refresh, by unplugging all Sonos devices, then rebooting the router. When the router comes back up, plug back in the Sonos devices wait for 1-2 minutes, and test it again.

Let us know if it works. If you need help with any other information, please be sure to let us know.

Wish Sonos would release or more adjustable EQ so you can set different frequencies etc also adjust speaker individual levels on the ARC, bit more customisation
