No Alexa or echo device

If you don't have an echo or Alexa device how do you control the beam volume?

Hi @Lfoxman .

Welcome to the Sonos community and thanks for reaching out to us. I understand you’re looking for answers. Let me help you out with that.

Allow me to recommend options so you can decide how to proceed based on your preference.

  • The Sonos Beam is a voice-enabled Sonos device. All you need is the Alexa app installed on a mobile phone and an Alexa/Amazon account.

  • You can also use the TV’s remote control to control the volume of the Sonos Beam.

    • During the first time setup of the Beam, all the needed information including remote control to control your Sonos Beam is already a part of the first time set up.

  • You can use the Sonos App to control the volume of the Sonos Beam as well.

I hope this helps.

Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns. We are always here to help.

Thanks,
