Is it advisable or common to mount a PlayBar just above a Wall Mounted TV?
I have a cabinet below that has "Stuff" on it all the time and I'm concerned the sound would be compromised.

Probably not common, but not unheard of. I'd just suggest you minimize the distance above, but allow for heat to rise out of the TV.
