Hello everybody;

I am using my Sonos equipment to create a Home Theater. I would have liked to use the following equipment :

  • Sonos Arc Ultra : above the screen ((fixed to the wall above the screen : using the Sonos mount))
  • Sonos OneSL x2 : one located on the middle of the right wall and one located on the middle of the left wall
  • Sonos Era 300 : located at the rear left and rear right; behind the armchairs
  • Sonos Sub G4 : I don't really know where to put it. Below the screen? Next to the chairs? Behind the chairs? And I can add a Sonos Sub G3 so the bass is better distributed. So there would be 1 Sonos Sub on the right and 1 Sonos Sub on the left but I don't know where to put them.

I tried this setup. But it doesn't seem to work. The sound is not like in a Home Theater. For example: Imagine someone is talking while being 1 meter behind you and 3 meters to the right. The speaker on the right wall + the speaker behind the chair on the right do not create a sound coming from the right rear.

Can someone help me to do this setup? Because with the Sonos app it doesn't work.

Thanks.

A Sonos home theater system consists of a front speaker that does multiple (the number varies) channels. No or Two Surrounds intended to be to the rear of the listening position and Zero, one or two Subs that can each be placed where they sound best which varies from room to room.

There is no way to have two “side” speakers in a Sonos Home Theater system, What you may be doing is creating another Room for the side speakers and Grouping that to the Home Theater system, that almost never gives acceptable sound if all speakers are in the same room.
