I’m setting up a home theater in a rectangular basement room that’s about 25-30 feet long.  I’ll be using an Arc, sub, and two One SLs.  The home theater setup only takes up about 15 feet of the room, so there’s 10-15 feet of open space behind the rear surrounds.

Here’s my question: when I do the TruePlay setup, where it wants me to walk around the room waving my iPad or phone, should I walk around only within the 15 feet of the home theater area that ends with the rear surrounds, or should I also cover the 10-15 feet of empty space behind them in the room?

I would try doing it both ways and see which produces the best result.
