Home theater query - how do surrounds connect?

Hi folks.

 

I have a beam set up with my TV. Considering two One’s to create a surround sound but wonder if all 3 devices connect with each other wirelessly? I.e all the new Ones’s need is a power source…

 

I assumed this was the case up until I started being confused with amplifiers and so on, not sure if I need an additional item to sync together wirelessly now.

 

Any advice appreciated.

The Ones will connect wirelessly, using a Sonos proprietary 5 GHz link.
