Hi, we've setup Sonos Arc, Sub and in-ceiling speakers (as surrounds) for our great room TV and Google Chromecast. Cannot seem to be able to get the Chromecast remote working with Sonos Arc. Have already gone through the setup and even factor reset Chromecast twice.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My idea would be you shouldn't have to. The Chromecast remote should command your TV, while the TV should command the Arc as it is connected via HDMI-(e)ARC and should use the HDMI-CEC protocol.
Why would you want to complicate things by commanding the Arc (and the TV???) with the Chromecast remote?
