Hi there @Ereza.
Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the community! Let me see what I can do to help you.
To better understand what’s happening, kindly begin the TV audio playback using the specific content in question then submit a diagnostic while the issue is occurring, and reply with the confirmation number. I'd start by reviewing your system as well as the status of the devices, it will help in identifying what's possibly causing the issue.
May I know the make and model of the TV to verify if it supports the required codecs?
You can find more information on playing Atmos audio (through Arc) in our Dolby Atmos article.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Ereza,
AD on Amazon Prime and Netflix = "Audio Description” is available - it has nothing to do with Dolby Atmos.. the ‘other’ movies you are watching are Dolby Digital 5.1 (most probably).
Yep. Apparently there isn't much in Atmos on prime.
Okay I can’t figure out what the issue is.
When I play Jack Ryan in prime video on my Samsung tv it shows the AD logo and in my Sonos app displays the Audio in as Atmos Dolby (DD+) under “about my system”.
When I play any other movies or serials in prime video with the AD logo showed, my Sonos display audio in only as Dolby Digital plus 5.1. The same problem occurs in Netflix and Disney+. the atmos logo is displayed but Sonos only gets Dolby Digital plus 5.1 audio in.
Apparently I am only able to play Jack Rayan in Dolby atmos. Why???
ps. Netflix is premium subscription!!!
Amazon Prime has VERY limited Atmos content. Try to play Suspiria or Carnival Row.
What device are you playing Netflix and Disney+ through?
It might be a case that your version of the Disney+ App doesn’t support Atmos and needs to be updated on the device - I don’t use Disney+ but does the actual App you’re currently using, show the type of audio output alongside its movies etc? .. just as a thought?
