Hello,

Before buying sonos beam i read that can be connected to fire TV.

Now i have it and I have set up everything, Alexa and fire TV app on Alexa and added Beam to it. I can control with voice but I cannot pair the sonos as a speaker. When trying to pair the speaker from Alexa app I only see the Alexa Echo dot. Audio from echo dot works, but I don't understand why I cannot send the audio to Beam.

Do you have a solution?

Only with arc can be connected? This would suck, because I have a projector and it can be complicated and ugly to bring a cable all over the ceiling.

Thanks

Mattia

The Beam needs to be connected to the projector directly to the HDMI ARC port or optical port. The Fire TV would then need to be connected to your projector’s other HDMI port.

Thanks @GuitarSuperstar

In that case it is ridiculous because on the Sonos website they say that can be connected to the fire TV, but what you describe is a parallel connection and not a direct connection to it.

I don't understand why Alexa echo works perfectly without an ARC, while Sonos doesn't, even if it has Alexa installed on it.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish?

Simply, connecting the Sonos to the fire TV stick in the same way as it is connected to Alexa echo. I have a projector on the ceiling and I was able to avoid cables around, I would like to continue in this way.

Now I might have found a temporary solution, I connect the AUX of Alexa to an analog to digital converter and then this one to the ARC. I am just afraid about the delay I might have with the video and/or a drop in the quality.

Another solution might be to use an wireless HDMI.

@GuitarSuperstar

I have connected Alexa to an Analog to Digital Converter and with the ARC to the Sonos.

It works perfectly!
