Comparable tv for sonos playbar in Dolby digital
Is the Sony kd55xe8596 compatable with playbar via optical cable? Thanks. Adam.

If i want to watch football i always use the HD channels 101-105 as i don't have Sky or cable.
Thanks, how are you finding your tv? I am in the market for a Sony which doesn’t blue when watching football.

rtings now lists on their reviews whether TV's pass-through dolby and dts: https://www.rtings.com/tv/tests/inputs/5-1-surround-audio-passthrough
I don't think your exact model is on there - they mainly review mid and high end models, however if your model is a 2017 or 2018 then I would say its 99% certain that it does pass-through of dolby at least

Well, a 3 second google search turned up the fact that it has an optical out, and its a relatively new TV with 4K. I’d guess that it does pass through DD, but perhaps you might look through the megathread to see if some else has purchased it?
