Can you connect a Sonos Arc into a BenQ HT3550 and experience Atmos

I have a BenQ HT3550 projector on the way and am unsure whether I can properly connect it to a Sonos system (One, sub, arc).  The BenQ site makes it read as thought it can (https://www.benq.com/en-us/knowledge-center/knowledge/how-to-connect-external-audio-to-your-benq-projector.html#S2).  Scenario 4 would seem to apply to me since my Sony UHD Blu ray player has 2 HDMI ports (Sony - UBP-X800M2 - ) with the sound being routed to the Sonos via bluray (am not using the projector for gaming or cable).  But I want to make sure the speaker config works as intended.

Our esteemed member @Airgetlam may have missed that you want to use your Sono-UBP-X800M2 to deliver Multi-Channel audio to the Arc. In that case Scenario 4 would be your option. 

Scenario’s 1, 2, 3, and 5 will only deliver 2 channel audio to the Arc. The Beam would be a better choice for 2 channel audio and cheaper than the Arc. 

However, without a switch you only have a single source (the Sony player). Do you not intend to use a cable box or a streaming stick?

Scenario 3 seems to be the correct one, from what I can make out amongst the multiple pop ups on that web site.

Thanks, @AjTrek1 . I won’t be using a cable box but will leverage the bluray player’s built-in streaming apps (I only need Netflix and Prime).  I chose the Arc over the Beam due to Atmos support. 

I have also learned enough not to use the projector for gaming, so that will be on the separate tv.  Raise the projector screen to reveal the existing mounted tv, lol.

Actually @Airgetlam is correct (sort of) .  Although the Blueray player has a separate HDMI output for audio, the Arc can’t read that as it doesn’t take in normal HDMI, only HDMI-ARC/eARC.  With scenario 4, you won’t get any audio.  Scenario 3 would work, but it looks like it’s limited to 2 channel audio and thus not atmos.

The HDFury Arcana is built for these sort of setups.  It can take in an HDMI signal, pass it along to your project, and has a separate HDMI-eARC connection for the Sonos Arc.

Wasn’t saying that @Airgetlam was wrong...only that option 3 only supports 2 channel audio. According to the Sony player specs it will send Dolby Atmos. Therefore the Arc ( in theory per Sonos FAQ’s) should recognize the signal.
