Considering buying Beam but have old TV no HDMI ARC

The Beam comes with an adapter that allows for a digital optical connection to the TV.

Thanks. I read more and says that with the optical adapter, I won't be able to use Alexa to control TV. Will I be able to use Alexa to control Pandora?

Yes, you should. It's only the TV that won't get a signal going backwards through the optical cable.
