For me both make a very apparent change in the sound, might be a glitch with the new app.

indeed, I bought the Beam because I was in a friends house where there was a very noticeable difference. So quite disappointed when it was not working after I got one.
Is the lesson to delay buying Sonos stuff until they fix the app? Had a lot of other problems with it.
I keep hoping for fixes to the app, seems like they are a bit slower than expected.
As to not waiting, that got a lot harder to recommend when the return window went from three months to one.
Personally I’m so sunk in the Sonos system I’d buy, but if the need wasn’t urgent I’d look for a sale.
I called them, and they were quite helpful, and it got investigated. They confirmed the issue, and said it is known, and should be fixed in the future.
Will hold off expanding my Sonos (and that of others I manage) until they sort this out, but if they do quickly, and especially if app is sorted out, will continue investing in, and recommending, their speakers.
