13.2 update fixed Beam IR sensor issues

Hi. I’m having issues with Beam’s IR sensor where it will stop responding to Sky remote via IR. This issue was only fixed with a power cycle. It followed the same pattern. Would work perfectly and then just stop responding after a week or so. I’ve tried all usual fixes and just gave up. Today I’ve updated the firmware to 13.2 and it’s working again. Anyone know of this issue is included in the update? TIA

The release notes for 13.2 are posted here https://support.sonos.com/s/article/3521 however it just memtions ‘bug fixes’ so I guess it’s possible that it might have been fixed as part of those bug fixes, perhaps?

Yeah I’d read that too and was thinking the same thing. Couldn’t find anything specific to IR sensor issues. Do Sonos monitor these forums and have any input or is it community members only?

Yes, Staff do monitor here, but rarely mention anything to do with fixes outside of what is shown on the release notes and the same thing for the Sonos development roadmap too, but the mere fact that things are mentioned in the community may perhaps start the ball rolling for a fix, especially if several users are perhaps highlighting the same/similar issue.

The irony is I had sort of got used to it not working!! 🤣
