Hello everyone,

I am very interested in the Sonos ACE headphones. However, I probably have a different use case than many of you here. I only want to use Bluetooth very rarely (e.g. when traveling).

I'm looking for headphones that I can use wired most of the time in the office. So I have a few questions and would really appreciate your feedback:

1. My understanding is that Bluetooth is completely switched off when I use the headphones with the USB-C to USB-C cable. Is that correct? That would be perfect for me!

2. can I also use the wired microphone for Teams Calls (on my Macbook)? Does that work?

3. does the ANC also work if I have connected the headphones via USB-C to USB-C cable?

Thank you very much for your answers!

Hi @Lacos, welcome to the Sonos Community!

I have the Ace myself and a few of my colleagues do as well, their use case is quite similar to what you’re looking to do. To answer your questions:

  1. That is correct, Bluetooth is disabled when using USB-C Line-in.
  2. There’s nothing in our documentation about it, but I know colleagues that use them for Zoom, Teams, etc, without issue.
  3. ANC does work when connected with USB-C.

I hope this information helps in your decision to purchase an Ace. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask them here or contact our sales team for more information.

I use the Ace headphones daily, USB-C to USB-C, for Teams calls.  Everything works as it should.

Thank you very much. How is the call quality? Does the micros do filter office noise ?

Call quality is excellent.  I’m not sure about the mics because I’ve never been on the receiving end, but I’ve had no complaints about my sound from other participants.
