Hi,

I am looking for a definite answer to the 2 following questions:

  1. Do the Sonos ACE work with Win11 and Teams via BT connection?
  2. If yes, how do they perform in terms of masking background noise?

On topic 2, what I mean is if background noise cancellation is good enough on the mic so that people in the meeting can hear clearly.

I use mine in Teams with Windows 11 every day and never have complaints about being heard.

I use mine on Windows 11 everyday also but I don’t use Teams often because my company does not use it (yet).  But I have often joined meetings with other companies that use Teams and have not had a problem.  I do use it regularly with Webex and Zoom and have had good success.

The only issue I have run into is I usually have my ACE connected to both my workstation and my Iphone and sometimes when I get a call on my Iphone while I am also on a call on Zoom, if I accept the call it will kill my connection to the Zoom meeting and sometimes I will have to reset the audio connection on my Zoom call when I jump back to that meeting.

As far as background masking, I have dogs in my office all day everyday and they will sometimes go crazy when workers are outside my house or the doorbell rings, or they will just be playing and I have asked people of they can hear them and they always say no.

Thanks for your answers!!!

Final question: do you use built in Bluetooth dongle or built in pc bluetooth? Reason for asking is that when using apple headphones, one must use a Bluetooth dongle, otherwise every single surrounding sound will be heard on the recipient side in a teams call.

I use the Bluetooth built into my laptop (Surface Laptop 3).  My previous headphones that I used were the Surface Headphones.  I really liked them and they worked great for a long time, the only problem with those was the cushions didn’t last very long and they got very difficult to find replacements, especially once Microsoft stopped making the headphones.  I got the ACE because I have a lot of other Sonos products in my house and I trust them, and they didn’t disappoint.  They aren’t perfect headphones but they are one of the better ones I’ve come across so far.

I use the Bluetooth built into my laptop.  I’ve also used a direct connection via USB.  Both work fine with Teams.

Hello everyone,
I have exactly the same problem as you. I also have two other problems:
- When I switch between a call in Teams. (hang up and call another user, or join another meeting) both the microphone and the headphones no longer work. It is displayed connected (connected via USB C & USB C)
Input device Sonos ace usb
Output device Sonos Ace usb
I always have to disconnect the device from the USB connection once and reconnect it so that I can use it in a Teams call. Is there a solution for this? Does anyone have the same problem?

- I keep experiencing drops in quality when using the USB C connection. When someone speaks, the quality drops briefly (short robotic voice), but I don't have the problem without headphones. It's not due to the internet. Does anyone have the same problem?

I run into a similar issue, but it happens whether it is Teams, WebEx or other meeting apps.  For me if I am on a meeting on my computer using my headphones and my headphones are also connected (all via bluetooth) to my iPhone and I get a phone call on my phone, I lose the connection to the meeting for some reason and then have to reconnect to the meeting.  BUT I don’t blame my ACE for this because I have the same issue if I use my Bose headphones and my Surface headphones.
