Whenever I try to link google to Sonos I get that SONOS IS UNREACHABLE error.
This has been ongoing for the past 4 days since I got my new device. At this point I am better off returning it and sticking to another brand of speakers.

Still not working for me either
Still not working…
Like others I tried unlinking and relinking. On the link accounts workflow in Google home, I get past plugging in my sonos creds, I confirm I want to link, then this.
Hi
Are you serious?
Yes. As mentioned, I am unable to recreate this issue in my own testing. If those steps have not helped, I recommend you get in touch with our technical support team so they can investigate.
Sonos support are useless. it took them 30 minutes to understand what the issue is. After 1hr over the phone they asked me to open a support case with Google. LoL
What a waste of time
Same issue here, can’t add to Google home or alexa
Same here... Switzerland
Hi Everyone
As we have so far been unable to recreate this issue in our own testing, in order to better understand it, we need to see more data - as a result, can I please ask you all to recreate the issue and submit a support diagnostic afterwards, then reply here when you have done so, but please don’t share the number given. Thanks for your assistance.

I just submitted yet another diagnostic report.
Steps to reproduce the error:
1- open Google home and select settings
2- select "works with Google" to add a new link to a service
3- search for SONOS and select it
4- accept the prompts that pop up and login using your sonos username/password
5- you get the error "Sonos unreachable........" Similar to the photos posted on this thread above.
I don't see how a diagnostic report would be beneficial in this case. But anyhow I just submitted one.
I believe the main issue is that the Sonos servers are not accessible for whatever reason by third parties such as Google
Same here. I think it is an issue with Google.
I can’t add anything. None of these work: Sonos, Philips Hue, iRobot, SmartThings.
It is broken, but most likely it is Google messing up, not Sonos.
I was able to add new lights, but after several days I still can not connect Sonos to Google, wasted multiple hours on this so far over the last week.
Hi
This issue is also affecting customers trying to add Google Assistant to a Sonos speaker from within the Sonos app. In these situations, a diagnostic is helpful, but you are correct - if you have only tried to link Google with Sonos in the Google Home app, a diagnostic will not show anything useful.
I missed this point when posting to this particular thread, which differs from the others - thanks for sending a diagnostic anyway.
So, we will not in fact need diagnostics from people who are trying to link to Sonos from the Google Home app - only those who are doing so from the Sonos app when adding GA to a speaker.
New behavior for me this morning. I went in to try again and submit a diagnostic as requested. After Google home directed me to log in to sonos, I got this. I did check and my system reports as up to date \ no update needed.

I’ve been in touch with Technical Customer Support about this issue, and it turns out the limitation is because Google Assistant is only available in certain countries: Google Assistant Availability on Sonos.
It’s frustrating that this feature isn’t offered worldwide, especially when even an English-only option would be a great start for so many users. Let’s keep this conversation going and make our voices louder! The more we ask Sonos to address this, the more likely they’ll consider bringing Google Assistant support to more regions.
Available in Switzerland
Don't work for now since days....
It is more a credentials issue between Google and Sonos I think.
As long we can not add sonos service in Google Home, forget to add GA on your speakers…
Strange thing is, if I want to link Sonos with Google Home, I am never asked for my Sonos username/password has it should be.…
Anyway... "Hey Sonos" works fine...

I’m not so sure I believe that. I’m here in the US and having the same issues. Was on the phone for over an hour yesterday rebooting modem/server/phone etc… deleted and reloaded both Google Home/Assistant along with the Sonos app. to no avail. I need to call in again today according to the representative I spoke to.

I think it’s also may relate to issue that the solution that Sonos have is working with Google Assistant, while modern phones have Google Home which I guess have different API and this is why it’s failing to add.
Why I think it’s the issue - > I changed my country to US, and I do see option to add Google Assistant in Sonos app, but when I’m trying to add it, it’s trying to do that via Google Assistant app (which now is Gemini) and not via Google Home.
Wish anyone technical will be here to help us debug and find the issue…
Same issue here, can’t add to Google home. So sad ….
I have just purchased Sono Beam Gen 2 two days ago from a retailer in the United Kingdom.
I have been trying to add Google assistant to my speaker for hours and what I got from the Google Home app is Sonos is linked … and then something went wrong please try again…
I have chosen Sonos because of its compatibility with Google Home. If this is an ongoing/existing issue, the product should not be or never be advertised as compatible with Google Home.
Can someone tell me or confirm if Sonos is violating any consumer law and it provides false information?
Last who can I reach out to for a product refund? Retailer said only accept a return with unused/resalable condition..and the packaging of Sonos obviously wouldn’t allow the product to be unused… Sonos team would you advise please??

We can’t change the labelling on a product box to keep up with a temporary issue like this.

For a temporary inability to add a voice service? No.

Only those who took your money can provide you with a refund - if the retailer cannot resell the item, they can return the item to us for their own refund. They should not be refusing you if you bought the item less than 30 days ago.
I hope this helps.
Hi
is this a temporary issue and how do you define temporary? It doesn’t sound like an issue that could resolve within a week..I have seen similar thread of an inability to add Google Assistant 3-4 months ago or even longer.
I have tried to do a hard reset on my Sonos this morning but nothing works. Are you able to provide a timeline which this could be resolved?
If I knew Sonos doesn’t have the compatibility with Google Home or a “long period” of temporary glitch, I don’t think it’s fair for not notifying consumer before they decide to purchase the product.
Many thanks!
Sonos has many issues last months, its not the brand it used to be. I've tried everything, nothing helps connection not possible
Same here in Sweden.
Had a talk for 1 hour with support trying everything but nothing worked.
In the end they just came to the conclusion that there seems to be a bigger ”central” issue and a lot of support cases incoming. So no help and no solution.
So software teams seems to have big issues getting things right…
I really hope they get the software issues sorted out. Love their products and hate seeing the obvious software decline as of late.
Just received my Sonos Arc today and spent 3 hours trying to set-up Google Assistant, as well as adding it to the Google Home App.
Likewise everyone else here, I am having issues with both of them.
I even called the Google support and they are stating that the issue is with Sonos. Not sure what to believe tbh. I will definitely return the product and go for another brand in case the issue is not resolved.
Quite disappointing after having spent almost 800€.
Having the same issue while trying to connect to Sonos in the Google Home app on iOS. Getting the same result as
Yeah, along with Sonos not being able to be added to Google home, I also cannot get my Sonos speakers to be discovered by Alexa in the app. I’m able to enable the Alexa voice assistant on each individual Sonos speaker in Sonos app, however, after enabling the Sonos skill in the Alexa app it never “discovers” any additional devices. Alexa voice assistant is working for all most all commands but will not play any music from any music streaming service. Usually get the response “Hmm to do that first enable the Sonos skill in the Alexa app…”. Yeah, the skill is already enabled. What is going on with Sonos these days… Terrible execution of enabling a seamless integration with Alexa and Google Assistant.
I like how we are all constantly trying but there isn’t any transparency of Sonos whether they are on the case or what’s the timeline of resolving the issue..
I also don’t like the fact that Sonos team is not apologizing the issue or even compensating customer for trying for hours… time is very valuable to everyone
I couldn’t believe Sonos after service support is soo useless …
