Question here is, how does Sonos determine your location, which therefore enables the use of Google Voice Assistant?  The reason I ask is because I live in Argentina, but have a VPN network linked to the US (which allows me to use some US streaming services as a result regardless of device).

I am able to link on the Google Home app with Sonos, but my speakers don't appear in the google home app.  I'm able to use the Alexa Voice Assistant with no problems.

I've tried switching my home address on my Google Home app to my US home address, but still no go. What could be a good way to get this running properly?

Thanks!

Did you have any success with this? I'm planning to get an assistant enabled speaker to use in Argentina and I fear this issue.

None yet, sorry.  I'm using Amazon assistant with my Sonos

Hi @sole2000_1 , how did you make it work with the VPN, I tried but it wouldn't find my sonos. Cheers

I'm in argentina too

I was able to do so by installing a router which has a VPN in it (I have 2 wifi networks at home, one with and one without a full-time VPN).  I used ExpressVPN and works flawlessly.

I have set my country of residence to the US, which is where I get all my music services from.  With this setting and a US VPN configuration, it doesn't work.  When shifting over to the google assistant app from Sonos, I receive the "there may be a problem" message.

If that doesn't work for you with all you've done, i'm screwed.
