‘works with SONOS’ license

I’m building a dedicated home theatre and while I have the Sonos ARC + ERA 300 setup in another room, I would LOVE to get SONOS music (esp Atmos through Apple or Tidal) into my dedicated home theatre setup.

Despite buying a ‘works with SONOS’ Sonos ES 11ch AV receiver, I am learning that I cannot get anything beyond stereo quality…

As a long time SONOS fanboy and someone with 12+ rooms with SONOS, it’s a real bummer that my dedicated AV room and highest end audio gear (7.2.4 home theatre) can’t sync/play nicely with Sonos in anything more than stereo…

As I understand it a “Works with Sonos” receiver kan command a connected Sonos Port. The Port can either be connected via RCA (analogue, so no possibility of Atmos) or via a coaxial digital cable. Are you saying that even when connected via coax the Port does play Atmos to your receiver?
